Sahyadri Network Infrastructure
High‑performance decentralized infrastructure designed for scalability, security, and resilience.
The Sahyadri network runs on a distributed infrastructure powered by independent nodes, validators, and contributors across the world. Our architecture ensures high uptime, fast transaction processing, and censorship resistance.
Core Infrastructure
Mining Nodes
Responsible for maintaining network security, verifying transactions, and producing new blocks through Proof-of-Work. They are the backbone of the network’s consensus and finality.
Full Nodes
Maintain and store a complete, up-to-date copy of the entire blockchain ledger. They ensure decentralization by validating and distributing network data across the globe.
RPC Nodes
Serve as the gateway for developers and applications. They provide high-speed access to the blockchain, enabling seamless interaction with the Sahyadri ecosystem via API endpoints.
Archive Nodes
Maintain the full historical record of every transaction and state change since the genesis block. Essential for deep data analysis, explorers, and auditing the complete history of the network.
Web5 DID Resolvers
Sahyadri nodes natively resolve Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs). These resolvers serve as the foundational layer for global, self-sovereign identity verification without relying on centralized authorities.
Decentralized Web Nodes (DWN) Gateways
The infrastructure is engineered to communicate seamlessly with off-chain personal data stores known as Decentralized Web Nodes (DWNs). This ensures that while the blockchain anchors identity, sensitive personal data remains under the user's absolute control, preserving true digital sovereignty.
Network Architecture
The Sahyadri network operates on a peer‑to‑peer architecture where nodes communicate directly with each other, eliminating central points of failure and improving network resilience.
Layered Storage Architecture:
The network employs an aggressive 24-hour pruning mechanism to ensure consensus nodes remain lightweight and high-performing (typically 5-10 GB). Meanwhile, specialized Archive Nodes utilize PostgreSQL integration to capture and maintain a permanent, full historical record of the entire blockchain.
Performance
- High throughput transactions
- Low latency block confirmation
- Scalable infrastructure
- Optimized consensus mechanism
Security
- Cryptographic security
- Decentralized validation
- Node reputation system
- Network monitoring
Security is built into every layer of the Sahyadri infrastructure to ensure data integrity and trustless operation.
Global Node Network
Nodes in the Sahyadri network are operated by independent participants across multiple geographic regions, ensuring global redundancy and high network reliability.
Quick Tips
Mining vs Validating:
Since Sahyadri is a Proof-of-Work (PoW) system, use the term "Mining Nodes" instead of "Validators."
RocksDB vs. PostgreSQL:
Mention that the node uses RocksDB for speed (hot state) and PostgreSQL for history (archival data).
